Cell Lab Crew camped out at William O'Brien State Park! Fishing, tent set up, cooking over a fire, teambuilding, smores, and ghost stories...

Cell Lab Crew visited the Minnesota Zoo for a Behind the Scenes Tour! They learned about the Minnesota Trail and the Russia's Grizzly Coast Exhibits. They had a great time and got to see where the animals are fed, how zoo keepers train the animals, and where the animals are kept for veterinary procedures and feeding.

Darwin Day February 14, 2008 from 1:00-4:00PM. The Cell Lab Crew adapted a Galapagos Finch Beak activity from
Virus and Whale by the National Science Teachers Association. Visitors competed in the Battle of the Beaks using small (3cm) or large (6cm) beaks in "bountiful" or "drought" conditions. Popsicle sticks were used for the beaks and marbles were used for the seeds.

Boology Day October 25th from 1:00-4:00PM. The Cell Lab Crew will have make and take "Fake Blood and Fake Snot" activity. They will also lead a demonstration of blood spatter, a useful forensic science tool to understand crime scenes.
